On November 20th, a delegation led by Prof. Frederick Hilmer,
the President of the University of New South Wales (UNSW),
visited the School of Business of Renmin University of China
(RBS). Prof. Yi Zhihong, the Dean of the School of Business,
met the delegation in Business Building.
The delegation from UNSW also included Prof. Jennie Lang and
Prof. Mark S Wainwright, the Vice President of the University
of New South Wales.
Dean Yi Zhihong warmly welcomed the delegation and gave an
overall introduction of RBS. Her introduction covered not
only the history, development of RBS, but also school faculty,
discipline features and international cooperation programs.
She also expressed her willingness to have further cooperation
with UNSW.
Then, Prof. Frederick Hilmer took the floor and talked about
UNSW. He pointed out that UNSW shared a lot of similarities
with RBS in many aspects. Both sides expected to have further
cooperation based on students exchange as a starting point.
The delegation from UNSW also asked some questions about RBS
that they are interested in, such as the relationship between
RBS and business organizations, the recruitment of RBS faculty
and MBA program. Prof. Yi also inquired about the international
cooperation programs of UNSW. The meeting was conducted in
a very friendly and harmonious atmosphere.
At last, both sides reaffirmed their willingness to have more
opportunities for cooperation.
