December, 18, 2006, with the joint effort of the School of Public Administration and RBS, the 7th Roundtable of CBLF was held in Room 216 of Qiushi Building. Topic for today's roundtable was "cross-cultural management in the era of globalization." Mr. Peter Brew, Director of Corporate Practices of IBLF, Doc. Wang Zhongming, Director of Research Center of Stated-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Prof. Mao Jiye, Associate Dean of RBS, and Prof. Dong Keyong, Associate Dean of School of Public Administration attended the meeting. Other attendees were Prof. Yang Du, Prof. Feng Yunxia and Prof. Liu Yuyu from RBS, Mr. Nigel Clark, CEO and Chairman of OGM, Central China Goldfields plc, AustCham, Ms. Guo Lixin from Sinotrust Consulting Firm, Mr. Yan Shaojian from Taiyuan Tianqian Electronic Technology Company and some doctoral students from RBS. Mr. Peter Brew and Prof. Dong Keyong were hosts for today's meeting.

First of all, Mr. Peter Brew gave an opening speech as well as a keynote speech entitled "International Trends in Cross-Cultural Management." Other keynote speakers were Prof. Yang Du, Ms. Guo Lixin, Mr. Nigel Clark, and Mr. Yan Shaojian. Doc. Wang Zhongming, Prof. Mao Jiye, Prof. Liu Yuyu, Prof. Dong Keyong and Prof. Feng Yunxia commented on their speeches respectively. Then, during the free discussion session, participants exchanged their views and opinions in a deep and dynamic way. In the afternoon, the 8th Steering Committee Meeting was held to review the past progress as well as discuss future development of CBLF.

The 7th Roundtable of CBLF provided a broad platform of exchanging views and thoughts for scholars and entrepreneurs from both home and abroad. It also shed some light on further development for business related areas.
