On May 8th, two foreign guests from the University of New
South Wales (UNSW), John Piggott, associate dean of Faculty
of Business, and Anne Gordon, manager of Research Office,
visited the School of Business of Renmin University of China
(RBS). They were warmly received by Prof. Mao Jiye, associate
dean of RBS.
Prof. Mao briefly introduced the present conditions, faculty
staff, subject features and international programs of RBS,
and inquired about exchanges and cooperation between UNSW
and other institutions of higher learning in China. On behalf
of RBS, he expressed strong willingness to carry out further
cooperation with UNSW.
Associate dean Piggott praised the excellent performance
of two RBS doctoral students studying for Ph.D in his faculty
at the moment. Later, Prof. Piggott also provided relevant
information about Faculty of Business at UNSW and its academic
subjects and joint programs.
The discussion focused on various means for supporting doctoral
and master¡¯s students of RBS to study at UNSW. At last, both
sides agreed to explore a new model of cooperation and carry
out more in-depth cooperation regarding doctoral degree candidates
exchange program in the future.
