RBS now has three important national academic disciplines—enterprise management, industrial economics, and accounting—and twelve master programs—enterprise management, management science and engineering, accounting, technological economics and management, international trade, industrial economics, logistics economics, principles of marketing, financial management, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), and Master of Professional Accounting(MPAcc).
Industrial economics
This field of specialization is an applied economics studying industrial organizations, industrial structure, theory of industrial relationship, and the economic activities and rules in industry, and industrial analysis and policy making to serve the demand of macroeconomic policy making and corporate development strategy. With the emergence of economic globalization and the approach of technological splendor, the research area of industrial economics is extended.

International trade
This field of specialization focuses on the study of commodity trade and elements transfer as well as their variation law in international trade and international division of labor; the influence of trade policy on trade and elements transfer in national and multilateral trade systems; and rules, mechanism, usual practices in such fields as international trade, etc.
Masters in this field of specialization are expected to grasp the basic theory and concepts of policy in international trade; master the skills and knowledge in tariff system, import and export management, service trade, foreign exchange market operation, modes of international trade, etc.; know well the new development trend of enterprise management in the open economic environment; and become specialized personnel with profound international background in enterprise management, teaching, and research.
Core courses: socialist economic theory, western economics, theory and policy of international trade, techniques of international trade, advanced topics in WTO, and advanced topics in the theory and practice of international marketing.
Logistics economics
This field of specialization is an applied economics studying industrial organizations in logistics, logistics industrial structure, theory of logistics industrial affiliation, and the economic activities and rules in the sectors of logistics industry.
Key research fields include theory of logistics economics, theory of logistics organization, industrial policy of logistics, modern theory and management of logistics, modern wholesale theory and management, modern retail theory and management, business ethics and market system, integration of domestic and international trade, commodity futures, commodity science, commodity inspection and quarantine, market management and regulation, statistical supervision of logistics, etc.
Management science and engineering
As an academic subject of quantitatively studying the decision-making, operation, management approaches and rules of organizations, and IT solution; management science and engineering has two distinct features—universality and instrument. It is the general approach and tool in studying the generality of management in all the academic disciplines of management. Therefore, its main research areas are corporate information and applications of network technology, production and operation management, e-business, management information system, development of corporate data resources, statistical forecast and decision-making analysis, and planning and evaluation of information system engineering. The mission is to foster comprehensive quality management executives. The fields of study includes operation patterns and process of organizations, IT projects of systematic operational management, theory of system planning and implementation, utilization of corporate information resources, corporate information integration and supply chain management, information technology and knowledge management, etc., which help enhance the ability of students in planning, developing, and utilizing the factors of corporate information technology.

Accounting
This field of specialization is an important national academic discipline. Research areas cover accounting theory, advanced accounting, auditing, cost management accounting, computerized accounting, etc. With a solid foundation of knowledge, insights, and abilities of problem solving, the graduates taking this major are expected to develop into top management executives and theoretical research experts.
Since its foundation in 1950, we have taken a lead in achievements as a renowned brand in the field of accounting education among Chinese universities. The emphasis of the academic subject research of accounting at RUC has always been put on the close connection between theory and practice. An accounting management theory institute with Chinese characteristics has been formed, which yielded many scientific research achievements and whose contributions to the theory and practice of Chinese accounting are recognized by Chinese scholars in the field.

Enterprise management
Enterprise management is a key national academic subject. With a solid foundation of knowledge, insights, good command of skills, and abilities of problem solving, the graduates of this major are expected to develop into top management executives and theoretical research experts. While focusing on management theory education, we stress the importance of capability and comprehensive quality training. Most graduates take up occupations in financial institutions such as industrial and commercial enterprises, banks, and security companies; and agency institutions like accountants' offices; and economic management departments in the government.

Technological economics and management
The academic subject of technological economics and management is the integration of modern technological development and management level with social economic development. It is the science of studying economic problems in the technological field, the correlation between technological progress and economic growth, and project management. Research areas can be divided into two categories: Firstly, it is the science of studying project assessment and the theory and methods of project management; Secondly, it is the science of studying the relationship of technology to economy and the theory and methods of how to promote technological progress and accelerate economic growth by means of technological innovation.
Basic courses: socialist economic theory, principles of management, marketing management, management accounting, corporate financial management, organizational behavior, corporate strategic management, etc. Subject courses are technological economics, technological innovation economics, research and development management, technological and industrial development, and project management.
Marketing management
It is the management academic subject studying corporate marketing activities, and non-profit organizational marketing, and their rules. Main research fields are marketing management theory, marketing channel management, non-profit institution marketing, global marketing strategies, consumer behavior, and marketing communication. With a solid foundation of knowledge and theory in marketing management and abilities of problem solving, the graduates of this major are expected to develop into top management executives and theoretical research experts to meet the need of socialist market economy. Graduates can apply their skills of decision-making, marketing management, theoretical research, and teaching to management and research work in comprehensive management departments, enterprises, scientific research institutes, and colleges.

Financial management
The aspects and contents of research include theory and practice of corporate finance; theory and practice of security investment; mergers, acquisitions and restructuring; financial market and financial tools, financial analysis, security assessment, risk management, transnational financial management, etc.
