The Department of Enterprise Management of RUC was formed after the department restructuring of RBS in 2005. It has characteristics of interdisciplinarity and rich human resources. It can award the doctoral degree in the doctoral program of business administration which is a top academic subject. In addition, it has two postgraduate majors——enterprise management and tourism management and also undergraduate major in business administration. To better meet the demand of education and research in management, the Department of Enterprise Management has also set up research institutions such as the Research Center for the Development of Middle and Small Enterprises of RUC, Beijing Modern Enterprise Research Society, and Research Center for Logistics of RUC.

In terms of faculty development, it has set up an echelon consisting of old, middle aged and young teachers. There are 18 on-the-job teachers in the Department of Enterprise Management, including 6 professors (6 tutors to doctoral students), 6 associate professors, and 6 lecturers. Seventy percent of them have studied abroad. They are proficient in foreign languages such as English, Japanese, and Korean. Nearly all teachers have a doctoral degree.
