| The Department of Management Science and Engineering |
The Department of Management Science and Engineering of RBS was established in December 2005. Now it has two teaching and research sections under it: management science and engineering, and technological economics and management. The history of the two teaching and research sections can be traced back to 1978 when RUC resumed classes. Its name at that time was Management System Engineering Teaching and Research Section or Techniques Teaching and Research Section. The former body was these two teaching and research sections was the Factory Management Department in the 1950s.
Now the Department of Management Science and Engineering has one undergraduate major: engineering management (for project management, specialty code 110104); two master programs: technological economics and management, management science and engineering; and one doctoral program: technological economics and management.
The doctoral and master programs of technological economics and management have 4 research areas: industrial analysis and investment, technological management, agricultural technological economics management（in the Department of Agricultural Economics of RUC）, and entrepreneurship management. There are two research areas for the management science and engineering master program: information management and information system and supply chain management. The technological economics management and management science and engineering belong to two different academic subjects of management, and the establishment of the later one is the strategic arrangement of the top academic subject in management science and engineering of RUC and RBS. |
